More than 10,000 athletes and spectators will come together in Adelaide in 2019 for the 17th Australian Masters Games.
This will be the seventh time Adelaide has hosted the Games. Regarded as one of the premier and largest participation sporting events on the Australian sporting calendar, the Masters Games involves more than 40 different sports for people over the age of 30.
The Masters Games is also known for its wide range of social events, as much as sporting activities, with an extensive program of live music and entertainment providing opportunities for attendees to experience South Australia’s vibrant entertainment scene and premium food and wine.
The last time Adelaide hosted the Masters Games in 2015, the event provided a $12.6 million boost to the State’s economy.
The 17th Australian Masters Games will take place in Adelaide from 5 to 12 October 2019.
The 2019 event was secured by the State Government through the Events Bid Fund. The State Government has invested an additional $70 million in tourism funding to market South Australia nationally and internationally and attract major events and conferences.
